How can I lose stomach fat by the summer?

If I do abnominal toning excersizes (ex. crunches), won’t it just build muscle, and that muscle would just push the fat out even more? Or would it burn the fat off? I also do cardio on the treadmill for about half an hour each day.

I was at the gym earlier tonight when a pretty scary thing happened. Today was chest day and I had just finished so I decided to do some cardiovascular exercise. I was already kind of tired but I decided to suck it up and keep going. I ran/sprinted non stop on the treadmill for about 15 minutes until I felt like I was going to pass out. It worried me because I had been doing this same cardio routine for the past two weeks and I hadn’t felt this bad yet. I got off the treadmill waked around for 5 minutes trying to get my breath but I just couldn’t. I left the gym, waked to my car and when I got in all of a sudden BOTH of my arms began to tingle and then went full on pins and needles. I knew something was wrong so I waked back in the gym and asked one of the women that worked there if my lips were blue (or something like that). She then made this shocked face as soon as she saw mine and got scared. She and this other lady panicked and told me that my face was a greenish blueish white. This is when things got hazy but I’ll try to remember. One of the women luckily was a physiotherapist who had paramedical experience (If I remember correctly). She told me to sit down, asked me the standard questions and took my pulse. I think it was something like 110-120 bpm (this is now 10 minutes after I have stopped all exercise), my breathing was rapid and I tried so hard to take deep breaths, but it was either breathing deeply and feeling like blacking out, or breathing rapidly and having the problems associated with an extremely high heart rate. After what felt like a lifetime, I and the staff decided to call an ambulance. They showed up asked me how I felt, if I had any pre existing medical conditions, if I ate today etc etc then took my blood pressure and heart rate. I remember the blood pressure in my arm being something ridiculous high. They talked me through it and asked if I wanted to get in the ambulance and go to the hospital. I said I’ll wait it out figuring I wouldn’t die because I had already lasted 20 minutes or so. I sat up slowly, filled in some paper work (NO FREE CHEYAEAH!) and had the worst head rush that I ever had. I decided that I didn’t need an ambulance and they left. One of the staff drove me and my car home. I’ve been home no for about 2 hours and I am extremely tired. I wasn’t really worried until I jogged up my stairs and it felt like I had just ran the 100 meter dash. My heart rate went up to about 100 bpm and stayed that way for a while. I’m about to go to bed now but I just thought I asked if this sounded familiar to anyone? Here’s what really worries me… I’m an 19 year old male. I’m 6′3", 165/170lbs and eat like every other guy my age. I’m lean and have been working out for almost 3 years now, mainly muscular endurance, little hypertrophy and cardio. I do not have any serious conditions (that I’m aware of) BUT I did go to the doctors a little over a year ago for something similar to this, although it was no where near as serious. Just long lasting palpitations, breathing difficulty, arm pain off and on usually when exercising. Had a 24 hour holter monitor test and EKG, all negative. It went away so I figured it was perhaps stress related. Tonight although was something totally different and I’m not sure whether or not I should get this checked out. (I don’t want to sound like the boy who cried wolf). I’m not stressed, I ate well today but I had only 5 hours of sleep last night. Does this sound like overexerting my body or something more serious? thanks

How much running should i do to lose stomach fat?

I’m 5′11, 170 lbs. I have abs, pretty good actually. But they dont show the way i want, so im thinking about doing some cardio/running to lose it. But how much would you recommend for good results?

The reason I ask is that I have a lot of health issues. I had a total hysterectomy in April 2006. I have fibromyalgia, hepatitis c, autoimmune disorders. It is very hard to try to start an exercise program due to the fact that you have to start two minutes at a time and do that for about two weeks and then progress a minute every two weeks. You loose one half to one lb. monthly. I have

high blood pressure, and cardio problems and diabetes is in our family.

I know I will get there, but the mountain to climb is tough. I gained 30 lbs after the hysterectomy and am very depressed about this.

I would think that carrying the extra weight around your heart is not good. I am almost 50 and do not want to end up buying a scooter.
I was always in good shape as a teenager and young adult and this is pretty devastating t one’s ego.

I have been very open with my surgeon and was wondering if any one had been through the same thing or knows who to contact for help?

How to lose fat around stomach and thighs?
Ok here is the deal. I’m 20 yrs old, I am about 155 pounds or so and Im 5′5". My thighs are huge and my belly is somewhat big. I don’t know what to do. I want to drop the wait and look alot slimmer and slender by June 18. Plz help??? Running out of ideas!!!!

Cardio Question – I've Been Jogging 4 Times a Week?!?

and 30 minutes a day (technically walking 10 and jogging 20) and it’s starting to hurt my back.

Is there any other things I can do CARDIO wise (need it for heart health) other than jogging?

I don’t have running shoes; could that be the problem?

alcohol and heart palpatations?

I have in past drank mostly beer, and sometimes more than I wish to admit, but 2 yrs. ago when drinking more than I should My heart started palpatating and has continued to this day if I have more than 2 drinks
I have had my heart checked for cardio enzemes along with a stess thalium test in hospital and they can find no damage or anything wrong.I suspect I may have developed or evolved a dehyrogenase enzeme problem similar to asian folks, however ,the othe day when out fishing and having a few good drinks of rye and the recurring palpitations, I was offered a sleeping pill restoril and all my palpitations disappeared???????? Boy wat a pleasant surprise! However, I am being prudent and limiting my alcohol intake to more than 2 drinks.
Incidently ever lent I quit for the 40 days but it has no effect on heart papitations when I drink in excess.?
Yes, I know I should abstain and will but looking for anwsers if someone know what is going on with my symptoms

so i’ve been doing heaps of stomach exercises lately, and my stomach is actually flatter than it was, but there’s like a blob of fat really love on my stomach where even if i suck in my tummy it doesn’t go away. how can i get rid out it quickly? what exercises will help? (oh and i dont believe in dieting or anything unnatural) coz its summer and i wanna wear a bikini to da beach!!!! thanks for your help.

Workout Problems?

I am trying to buold my muscles as well as get a good cardio workout. However I am having problems. I try to lift weights, but usually what happens is that my muscles tire long before I manage to get in half an hour, say, of working out.

If I increase the weights, the workout will become shorter and I presume less effective for the heart. So how do I balance getting a good cardio workout with strength training? It takes me about five minutes to do 30 or so chest presses. How can I get a lengthy workout this way? Thanks in advance.

I’m not fat, but I have some flab and I want to get rid of it because i’m going to be going on a trip to the beah and, you know, I want to look good.
I don’t drink soda, I don’t eat A LOT (like an unhealthy amount) of food, and my parents aren’t fat.
I hate running, is there any other form of cardio that would work well?

How To Lose Stomach Fat and Thigh Fat?

Okay so I’m 16 years old, 5 ft 7 in and 136 lbs. I’m trying to eat healthier to get my weight down to about 125 by the time school starts in September. I wanted to know what types of exercises burn stomach fat? I don’t want to start doing things like crunches because I know it will only build muscle under the fat without actually burning the fat. But what exercises actually burn stomach fat?

Separately, what types of exercises burn thigh fat without causing you to lose the shape of your butt/hips as well? I like the way my butt is (not trying to sound conceited or anything) and I just want to lose the extra fat off my thighs. How can I go about doing this?
